Some Black Friday deals may be too hard for some shoppers to pass up.
Today, they'll decide whether to risk waiting in line and being in large crowds.
La Palmera Mall will be opening at 7 a.m. today but some of the larger department stores will open a little earlier than that as some people are ready for the biggest shopping day of the year.
"Yes, every Friday, for the last few years,” shopper Tania Benavides said.
It’s Black Friday which usually means swarms of people shopping for the best deals stores have to offer.
But this year, some people say they don't want to take the risks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I was never really big on crowds anyways so, mostly online shopping for Black Friday this year,” said shopper Jacob Lassiter.
And other say they'll continue the tradition, but will make adjustments if needed.
"If it gets too crowded I’ll still wait in line, just be safe about it,” one shopper told us.
La Palmera Mall says it usually releases a list of stores opening early. But this year, COVID-19 made it difficult for some stores to decide what they were planning to do for Black Friday.
This Black Friday, each store decided individually when to open. JC Penney and Macy’s opened at 5 a.m. Bath and Body Works and Ulta at 6 a.m. and Victoria’s Secret at 7 a.m.
The mall is closing at 9 p.m. tonight, so that's just enough time to come shop all the Black Friday deals you may want.
