CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Crime of the Week focuses on the murder of Nathaniel Gutierrez, 29.

On December, 19, 2014 Gutierrez was fatally shot at the intersection of SPID and Carroll Lane.

He was riding in the backseat of a car when someone opened fire, striking him.

He was then dumped on the road.

In 2014 Action 10 News spoke to Gutierrez's mother, Melissa Flores, who urged anyone with information to come forward.

"I just beg for someone to come forward and just be free of this. Because whoever done this, you have to be miserable. Somebody had to see something and I wouldn't want any family to go through the hurt that I'm going through and my family," said Flores.

Police say surveillance video revealed a silver passenger car may have been involved in the crime.

If you know who is responsible, or have any additional information about the murder of Nathaniel Gutierrez, call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers will keep your identity a secret and if the information leads to an arrest, you could get up to $2,500.
