KINGSVILLE, Texas — A drive- thru vaccination clinic was held Thursday in Kleberg Ccounty.

According to organizers 1,300 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were given out at the Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg.

The vaccines were for people meet the criteria for phase 1A or phase 1B. Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg has hosted two vaccine clinics since being named by the state as a COVID-19 vaccination hub provider.

It will serve Kleberg County and the surrounding areas.

Lacy Lasseter the Chief Nursing Officer for Christus Spohn Kleberg In Kingsville said, "I'm so grateful to our team for working so hard to get this done at such short notice. To everyone that has been supportive and
all we want to do is protect our community and do everything we can to keep people healthy."

It's not clear when the hospital will get more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
