Several local game rooms were put on notice by the Corpus Christi Police Department.
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, officers visited a number of game rooms and issued cease and desist letters.
CCPD said the locations have either used or are suspected of currently using illegal software.
CCPD said the letters tell business owners that if their establishment doesn't stop the illegal activity by September 23, 2020 action will be taken against them.
CCPD said while issuing the letters some businesses closed. The letters were mailed out to them.
