The Nueces County Medical Examiner's office has released the identity of the 21-year-old victim of a fatal shooting Friday night in the 800 block of Bloomington Street.
The victim was Jose Aguilar of Corpus Christi. The Medical Examiner's office said the victim died of multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting happened at around 9:45 p.m. Friday,
Officers at the scene were told that the victim went outside and got into an argument. A short time later, a shot was fired striking the victim.
The suspect, described as a 5-foot-10, 190-pound Hispanic man with a distinct scar across the bridge of his nose, fled the scene westbound on Bloomington Street.
According to CCPD Senior Officer Travis Pace the man was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower torso and was pronounced dead.
