The Corpus Christi Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim who was found deceased inside a burned house on the 2700 block of Camargo Drive as 67-year-old Alicia Anzaldua.
Detectives say Alicia Anzaldua was murdered by her son, 48-year-old Abraham Anzaldua, but the cause of death has not been released.
Police are seeking the public's help in locating 48-year-old Abraham Anzaldua and say a warrant has been issued for Capital Murder.
"Anzaldua is described as a 48-year-old Hispanic male who stands 6 ’01”, weighs approximately 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has Anzaldua tattooed on his back," said Corpus Christi Police Department Senior Officer Jennifer Collier.
Anzaldua was last seen driving a black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado with the possible license plate JLW-2055.

The Corpus Christi Police Department Robbery Homicide Division needs the public’s help in locating a person of interest in the city’s latest homicide.
"On Monday, February 12, 2024, the Corpus Christi Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the 2700 block of Camargo Dr. Once the fire was extinguished a deceased victim was located inside of the residence," stated CCPD Senior Officer Antonio Contreras.
Witnesses said they saw 48-year-old Abraham Anzaldua leaving the residence minutes before the fire occurred.
According to investigators, Abraham Anzaldua left the area in a black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck, with the possible Texas License Plate JLW-2055.

Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating a potential homicide on the 2700 block of Camargo Dr., officials said.
A house fire erupted at a house on Camargo Drive just before 3 p.m. on Monday. After fire crews got the fire under control, a body was discovered with "suspicious circumstances," which prompted CCPD homicide detectives to step in.
According to online records and neighbors, the house was home to Abraham and Alice Anzaldua. Police did not say if it was a man or woman found inside the home.
Another neighbor said he frequently sits outside his home a few doors down. He witnessed a black truck speeding off from the home. He said 10 minutes later, he saw smoke coming from the house.
