CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A photo, shared by Padre Island National Seashore (PINS), shows an alligator on Malaquite Beach.
Officials determined that the alligator came from Louisiana by checking its tags, located at its feet.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department helped transport the gator to the Texas Sealife Center for rehabilitation.
"See ya later, alligator!" said a post from PINS.
