CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The 59th Annual Texas Jazz Festival is underway. The event is being held once again at Heritage Park in downtown Corpus Christi.
Texas Jazz Festival is the longest largest free running festival in the world according to festival organizers.
There are three stages with bands and singers performing simultaneously all day and night.
Dozens of food and craft vendors are participating. This is the first year the music event will offer craft beers. Also new this year, vendors are accepting cash and credit cards. In years past, only tickets could be used at food booths.
The Jazz Festival is going on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20. The fun goes on until 12:30 a.m. on Saturday and 8 p.m. on Sunday. The event is pet and children friendly. There are plenty of seats under the tents but they do fill up fast. Lawn chairs and blankets are acceptable.
