One man has died in what appears to have been a kayaking accident in the Aransas Channel.
Aransas Pass police got a call around 7 a.m. for a body in the water near Harbor Island Road.
The unidentified man’s kayak was found — severely damaged… about a quarter of a mile away.
Police believe he was involved in a crash with a larger vessel. They say the operator of that boat may not even be aware.
Police are trying to track down that boater.
