A popular Corpus Christi sports bar and restaurant is expanding its operations into Portland.
HardKnocks Sports Bar and Grill plans on opening a new location at the former site of Mike Cotton’s BBQ on Highway 181 in Portland.

HardKnocks co-owner Rod Lewis says they plan to begin renovations right away and aims to open the new restaurant in early June.
Lewis says the new location will offer the same family focused sports grill experience as that of their Everhart Road location, including crawfish, steaks and plenty of big screen TVs to catch the game.
