Chick-fil-A restaurant in Calallen could open by mid-July

Chick-fil-A is preparing to open its newest restaurant in Calallen this summer.

Construction on the new restaurant on the 13000 block of Northwest Boulevard began months ago.

According to Callie Bowers, with C.P. Communications, a public relations firm who works for Chick-fil-A, they’re hoping to open the restaurant by mid-July.

“As it gets closer, we will plan to share information surrounding the new restaurant, first 100 event and operator,” Bowers said.

The “First 100” event began in 2003 but has become a popular event over the last few years. The event is held on the day of the restaurant’s grand opening. It gives the first 100 customers standing in line on opening day a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A meals.

The event has proven so popular that many people will camp out at a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in order to be among the restaurant’s first 100 customers.
