In a few days, Tejano musicians will take the stage and Selena fans will fill the downtown streets at this year’s Fiesta de la Flor.
City Council members today kicked off the celebrations by proclaiming Friday and Saturday as Fiesta de la Flor Days.
Citgo representatives were also at City Hall to unveil a gift to the City of Corpus Christi.
Citgo commissioned local artist Gilbert Cantu to paint this portrait of Corpus Christi native and late Tejano superstar Selena Quintanilla-Perez.
It will be displayed permanently in the Selena Auditorium.
