The Corpus Christi Army Depot has been repairing helicopter engines with the help of General Electric since 2001.

Today they marked a huge milestone in that partnership.  The CCAD has now repaired 10,000 of the T-700 engines.
Those engines are used in Army Black Hawks and Apache helicopters around the world.
Reaching this milestone took a lot of hard work and dedication.

“It takes an entire team, an entire family, to be able to produce 10,000 engines back to our Army force.  And what can’t be lost is that these engines are the motors that go into every single Apache and Blackhawk helicopter in the entire U.S. Army fleet,” said CCAD Commander Colonel Gail Atkins.

Here’s another impressive statistic, CCAD’s engine overhaul program saves the army more than half the cost of a new engine on every repair job they do.
