According to KTSM in El Paso, Beto O’Rourke has confirmed he will be running for president.
The El Paso TV station reports the former Texas congressman texted the station that he will be seeking the Democratic nomination for the presidential run in 2020.
O’Rourke lost the Texas Senate race last year to incumbent Senator Ted Cruz but gained national attention.
The media outlet says O’Rourke has stated that he will make a formal announcement tomorrow morning.
