Kane Beef is holding a hiring event tomorrow. The local meat processing plant was recently sold to STX Beef after the business filed for bankruptcy. Last week, the new management began the process of bringing furloughed employees back to work. And now the company is looking for more workers to fill gaps in positions.

The hiring event is being held tomorrow, March 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend Staples Career Center. The career center is located at 520 N. Staples Street. The company is looking for individuals to fill the following positions:
Fabrication Workers ($10-11.50 / hour)
Quality Control Coordinator ($10 / hour)
Loading Dock Worker ($10 / hour)
Freezer Worker ($10 / hour)
Harvest Production ($10 / hour)
