A local medical facility is preparing to close one of its local locations leading to job losses for more than 200 employees next month.
According to the Texas Workforce Commission, Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of Corpus Christi South will lay off more than 220 employees next month.
The facility, on the 6200 block of Saratoga, offers specialized care to patients who have undergone major surgeries.
The Workforce Commission says Post Acute Medical will lay off 162 employees on April 11. A little over a week later on April 20, the specialty hospital plans to lay off another 65 employees.
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend says they have assigned their Rapid Response Team to help those affected by the layoffs to find other jobs in our area.
