A constable vehicle was rear-ended this morning at the Crosstown Expressway and FM 2444 intersection.
Officials with the DPS are currently on-scene assisting with the accident, which involves four cars at a stoplight just before Crosstown on FM 2444. The driver of the white truck told officials he fell asleep before crashing into the back of the patrol car. The patrol car then bumped into the car in front of him in a chain-reaction.
The official in the patrol car was taken to the hospital with complaints of neck pain.
Travelers going west bound on FM 2444 near Highway 286 are being impacted. Only one lane is open at this time.
