The Island University is planning a science fair in February.  It’s open to area students in all grade levels.

The Valero Energy Foundation and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Coastal Bend Regional Science Fair will be held Thursday, February 14 through Saturday, February 16.

The college is looking for volunteers and judges. The school would like anyone with science degrees or experience working in a science field to apply as a judge.  Judging categories are K-5 and grades 6-12.

Volunteers should register by February 4.  A science background is not necessary.  General volunteer duties include registration, monitoring of participants, directing participants, assisting with set-up of projects, assisting the judges, set-up for the judging, set-up for the award ceremony, and/or breakdown.

The science fair is sponsored by Valero, the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Del Mar College.

Sign up as either a volunteer or judge by going to sciencefair.tamucc.edu or email cbsciencefair@tamucc.edu.
