The main lanes of IH 37 will be closed nightly between Tancahua Street and SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) beginning Thursday, January 10, 2019 through Sunday, January 13, 2019 as part of the Harbor Bridge Project.

This is a full freeway closure.

The closures will take place overnight beginning at 9 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m. and are necessary to set beams for construction of the new Staples Street Bridge. All work is weather permitting.

Frontage roads will remain open and detours will be in place.

Commercial truck traffic traveling the Harbor Bridge during this time period is encouraged to utilize the Joe Fulton Corridor as an alternate route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the lane closures, to consider using alternate routes, to follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.
