Agents from the U.S. Border Patrol made a special delivery to Driscoll Children’s Hospital this morning.

For the past 16 years, agents from the Kingsville Border Patrol station have bought gifts for kids who will be spending Christmas at the hospital.

Border Patrol says it’s their way of giving back to the community, but for some agents, it’s a bit more personal.

“Our agents have had kids here at the hospital as well, so we really appreciate Driscoll Children’s Hospital,” said Robert Hess, Border Patrol supervisor. “It’s an opportunity to give back to the hospital, but also to brighten these kid’s days.”

Agents worked with hospital staff to determine what kind of presents are needed, and today delivered more than 100 to the hospital.
