The U.S. Postal Service will offer extended retail hours at many locations starting Saturday, December 8.
Postal facilities in Corpus Christi and surrounding areas are either opening early and/or extending their hours leading up to Christmas Day. These designated offices will provide full retail services, including stamp sales and package acceptance.
Extended hours will begin on December 8 and run through December 22.
The following locations will have extended hours on Saturdays and Sundays where noted.
Corpus Christi Flour Bluff at 10139 Security Dr.
Open Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Corpus Christi Portairs at 4213 S. Port Ave.
Open Saturdays 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Corpus Christi Southside at 6742 Weber
Open Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Corpus Christi Lamar Park at 4801 Everhart Rd.
Open Sundays 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In addition, several Post Offices not listed already offer retail hours on Saturdays and after 5 p.m. Customers can check www.usps.com/FindLocations and/or call 1.800.ASK.USPS for hours at specific Post Offices.

For delivery in anticipation of Christmas, the Postal Service recommends keeping the following mailing and shipping deadlines in mind:
- 11 – APO/FPO/DPO Priority Mail & First Class Mail
- 14 – USPS Retail Ground
- 20 – Priority Mail & First Class Mail
- 22 – Priority Mail Express
In time for the holidays, the Postal Service will offer real-time delivery notifications – meaning customers who sign up for alerts at myusps.com will receive notification within a few minutes of the delivery scan for select packages.
