Downtown Corpus Christi has a festive makeover. Chaparral Lane is now Peppermint Lane.
It’s actually a holiday tradition first celebrated back in the 1960s. With the help of CITGO, it’s finding new life this season.
On Saturday, November 24, Chaparral Street will be closed for a kick-off celebration from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be fun for the whole family, from kids crafts and rides to a holiday market pop up at BUS. There will also be live music and a special announcement of our Battle of the Bulbs competition. The official ribbon cutting is at 6 p.m.
