A man trying to cross Leopard Street was hit by a truck this evening.
The incident happened at the 5500 block of Leopard Street near N.P.I.D. around 6:15 p.m. Monday night.
Police have not identified the victim. He was not using a crosswalk at the time he was struck.
Police officers who arrived at the scene said the injuries looked severe and are calling it an unfortunate accident. The driver told police he didn’t see the man. There were no signs of intoxication according to a policeman at the scene.
The victim is being treated at the hospital for serious injuries.
