Kidnapping suspect via CCPD.

A convenience store employee is safe and unharmed, but shaken up, after a man robbed the store she was working at, forced her to drive him to another location and then tied her up.

The woman was able to free herself from the restraints and call police.

Senior Officer Travis Pace said that officers received a call for a robbery at the Murphy Express on the 6600 block of Saratoga. Pace said the employee reported that a large, black man came into the store with a knife and took an unknown amount of cash just after 7:20 a.m.

The man then forced the employee to drive him to another location off of McArdle where he tied her up, Pace said. The man then left the scene. The woman was able to free herself and call for help.

The man is still on the run. Detectives are looking at surveillance video and hope to provide images or a better description of the man soon. He faces charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
