Three of Nashville’s most successful songwriters will be in the Coastal Bend tomorrow for an evening of performances that will benefit South Texas’ only free-standing children’s hospital.

The 13th Annual Singer Songwriter Showcase benefiting Driscoll Children’s Hospital will feature Kelley Lovelace, Neil Thrasher and Rivers Rutherford.

Kelley Lovelace has had 16 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Country Chart, including “He Didn’t Have to Be” and “I’m Still a Guy,” both by Brad Paisley.

Rivers Rutherford, who has had 8 No. 1 hits, including “Real Good Man” by Tim McGraw and “Ain’t Nothing ’bout You” by Brooks and Dunn, will also perform.

Neil Thrasher has had 6 No. 1 hits and is known for songs including “Take Me There” by Rascal Flatts and “There Goes My Life” by Kenny Chesney.

The showcase is tomorrow, Oct. 4, at the Harbor Playhouse, 1802 N. Chaparral St. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.

In 2017, Driscoll had over 180,000 patient visits, including over 43,000 patients seen at South Texas’ first emergency room created exclusively for children. No child is ever turned away regardless of their ability to pay.
