One of the Corpus Christi Fire Department’s very best received a distinguishing honor.
Joshua Brunemeier was named Firefighter of the Year today by the Corpus Christi Kiwanis Club.
Battalion Chiefs in the department voted on who receives the award.
The award goes to the firefighter that has gone above and beyond the call of duty.
The Kiwanis Club has been handing out this award since 2002.
