Police crackdown on drunk drivers this Labor Day weekend

Posted

Law enforcement officers are cracking down on drunk drivers this Labor Day weekend.

“This is nothing new this has been a crime for a longtime and it will continue to be a crime that we will aggressively deal with,” said Lt. J.C. Hooper.

Officers began the operation at 6 o’clock on Friday night.  They say it’s a zero tolerance, no refusal operation.

Police recommend drivers to use other methods of transportation such as ride-shares and cabs.

The operation ends Sunday, September 2nd.
