A trial date has been set for the man accused of fatally shooting a 13-year old boy at the Treyway Terrace Apartments more than three years ago.
David Davila’s trial will begin on Monday, September 17th.
Davila is accused of shooting and killing Alex Torres on January 13, 2015. He was reportedly looking for an ex-girlfriend, but allegedly shot Torres by mistake.
During Tuesday morning’s hearing, Judge Jack Pulcher asked that 200 potential jurors be called on Thursday, September 13th. He wants testimony to begin by Monday, September 17th.
Meanwhile, Davila’s getaway driver, Christina Trevino, pleaded guilty last week to a charge of retaliation, which is a third degree felony.
Trevino will be sentenced in October. She is facing up to 20 years in prison.
