CORPUS CHRISTI – A two year old boy is dead after reportedly falling into a backyard pool at a Corpus Christi home.
Corpus Christi Police and Emergency Medical crews responded to a call of a drowning at about 1:45 p.m. on the 3400 block of Brawner Parkway.
According to police, the boy’s father lost sight of the child for a few minutes before finding him unresponsive in an above ground backyard pool.
Police say medics performed CPR and took the child to Driscoll Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed in the child’s death, but police say the incident is under investigation.
