CORPUS CHRISTI – Authorities have identified the woman who was killed last week on Slough Road.
According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s office, 48-year-old Brenda King died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
King’s body was discovered on August 16 by a passing motorist on Slough Road, near Kolda Elementary School.
Corpus Christi Police believe King was killed in the same area where her body was recovered.
The investigation into King’s killing is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this suspected homicide is asked to contact CCPD at 886-2600 or Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS (8466).
