A horse that was stuck in a muddy ditch for more than 12 hours is now free.
According to Connie Brown from the Faith and Hope Foundation, the horse was found by its owner at about 7:30 p.m. yesterday stuck in a ditch near Cabaniss Field.
Corpus Christi Police and Firefighters, with help from Apollo towing, were able to free the horse just before 8 a.m.
Brown says the horse is hungry and dehydrated, but that Tractor Supply Co. opened up early so that they could get food for the animal.
