Anthony Garcia and Robert Garcia spend a lot of time in the gym working out.
“I treat him like family he treats me like family,” said Robert Garcia, Anthony’s workout partner.
And working out isn’t the only thing the two have in common.
“We both served in the military, so we created a bond real fast; just because of that brotherhood,” said Robert.
Robert is a Marine. Anthony served 6 years in the Airforce, with a tour in Afghanistan.
“One of the toughest guys I know. He doesn’t let anything slow him down,” said Robert, speaking about Anthony.
But Anthony’s life has taken a drastic turn.

“Anthony is a tough guy, and he’s a strong guy and right now he is going to need every ounce of toughness and every ounce of strength because he was just diagnosed with cancer and is in a fight for his life>
Anthony found out after eating what he thought was a bad batch of chicken wings. He was weak and throwing up. He went to the doctor, then got the bad news
“I had a 5-6 centimeter tumor inside my abdomen area,” said Anthony.
And right now Anthony spends his days in chemotherapy.
He’s two sets of treatments into his therapy and is relying on his toughness to help pull him through.
“Achieve and overcome your obstacles. Yes, it is a very tough battle to get up in the morning and make it to chemo every morning. But it’s what I have to do to take care of my family. I have to get up for my little ones, to make sure that I am able to make it through the day, no matter what cause this is a battle for my life, said Anthony.
“He’s going to beat this. I know he is going to beat this cause he is strong and he has all of us behind him,” said Robert.
