The death of an infant at a local residence is prompting an investigation by the police department.
Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department say they were called to the 5200 block of Weber on Thursday, July 26 in reference to an unconscious child. The child was pronounced dead shortly after. We are told the death is “suspicious.”
Officers say today would have been child’s first birthday. No arrests have been made.
The circumstances surrounding the death are unclear. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
