CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Pam Massad is no stranger to the Kitchen Cops.
Cookies by Design has earned its fifth perfect score since 2015.
Despite that, her business, has been hurt by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Massad said she closed her doors for a couple weeks, but now that they’re open again, she can’t hold onto staff until school starts again.
And that means she can’t offer everything she normally does.
“Actually I’ve had to shrink the offerings," Massad said. "I’ve had to turn away things just because I didn’t feel I could get it out appropriately.”
Despite her challenges, she still works hard to keep her restaurant in perfect shape.

Pizza Hut at 4815 South Staples is a newcomer to the perfect score this week. This is its first perfect score.
That means they’re keeping it clean.
