Violations included corrosion on the grill shelves in the cooler, a dirty ice maker, no thermometer, hand sink was blocked and all the holes in the ceiling need to be sealed.
Island Café located at 301 Alister scored an 87.
Health inspectors found raw bacon kept at the wrong temperature, raw meat stored above hashbrowns or vegetables, a pan of cooked bacon on top of raw bacon, no thermometer, flies and employees not wearing beard guards.
Dairy Queen Of Port Aransas located at 307 West Cotter Avenue scored an 86.
The restaurant lost points because hamburger patties were not stored correctly, an employee scratched his head and did not wash hands, chemical spray bottles were stored near straws, left over food was not labeled, gnats, employees were not wearing hair or beard restraints, employees were wearing jewelry, personal items were stored on top of clean pans and a condensation leak needs to be repaired.
