La Bamba #2 a food truck that can be found at Moon Plaza or on the corner of Baldwin and Gollihar scored a 100.
Granny’s Tamales #4 located at 9804 Leopard scored a 100.
Earning spot on the A-list with a 99 is Popeye’s located at 5009 Greenwood.
Hacienda San Jose Mexican Restaurant located at 10136 Leopard scored a 99.
Domino’s Pizza located at 2714 Staples scored a 99.
Coffee Waves Flour Bluff located at 10309 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.
Funtrackers Raceway Café located at 9605 South Padre Island Drive scored a 96.
Shipley’s Donuts located at 3113 Staples scored a 95.
Pete’s Chicken-N-More located at 6502 Yorktown scored a 95.
El Mesquite Bar-B-Que located at 1653 Airline scored a 94.

Dropping down to the B-list with an 88 is Eddie’s Bakery Restaurant located at 4810 Kostoryz.
Violations included dirty ceiling areas in the walk in cooler, toxic items stored above food, cooling units were kept at the wrong temperature, excess grease on hood above cooking areas, dirty food transport van and peeling paint above the front display area.
Padre Island Burger Company located at 14414 State Highway 361 scored an 88.
Health inspectors found bacon kept at the wrong temperature, a dirty can opener, cutting boards need to be resurfaced, a dirty margarita machine, spray bottles not labeled, no beard guards, wiping towels were not stored properly and bacon was thawed out on back porch.
Boathouse Bar & Grill located at 15241 Leeward scored an 84.
The restaurant lost points because the salad line cooler kept the wrong temperature, dish washing machine was not working properly, a dirty tea container, a dirty bar drink spout and employees need to wash their hands.
Other violations included chemical bottles were not stored properly, pesticides must be applied by certified pest control operator, employee cups need lids, wiping towels were not stored properly, bowls were used to dispense flour and aprons were stored near the line cooler prep area.
