Flies, raw meat not stored properly and cups used to dispense dry goods are just a few of the violations found in the lowest scoring restaurant.

Ole Café located at 4602 Leopard scored a 100.

Whataburger located at 4510 Leopard scored a 100.

Earning a spot on the A-list with a 99 is The Donut Palace located at 604 Alister scored a 99.

Subway located at 4117 Staples scored a 99.

Rigatoni’s Italian Restaurant located at 10501 Leopard scored a 99.

Jamba Juice located at 5425 South Padre Island Drive scored a 99.

Great American Cookies located at 5488 South Padre Island Drive scored a 99.

Dunkin Donuts located at 6093 Saratoga scored a 99.

Bottomless Pit BBQ located at 2815 Leopard scored a 99.

Winton’s Island Candy located at 601 Alister scored a 99.

Little Caesars located at 10529 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.

JB’s Strudel Mania located at 2330 Airline scored a 97.

Century Theaters located at 6685 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.

Dropping down to the B-list with an 87 is Wendy’s Old Fashion Hamburgers located at 5934 South Padre Island Drive.

Violations included holes in the ceiling, a dirty ice machine, toxic items near single serve items, valid health permits need and corroded ceiling vents needed to be replaced.

Taqueria Jalisco #3 located at 10533 South Padre Island Drive scored an 86.

Health inspectors found raw met stored above vegetables or cooked food, dishwashing machine was not working properly, pots and pans need to be washed thoroughly, no no soap for the employee restroom and the toilet paper was not in the dispenser.

Other violations included flies, employees not wearing beard guards, wiping towels were not stored properly and cups were used to dispense dry goods.
