Postres Lily located at 2833 South Padre Island Drive scored a 100.
Earning a spot on the A-list with a 99 is the Whataburger located at 7434 Staples.
Great American Cookies/Coffee Beanery located at 5488 South Padre Island Drive scored a 99.
Yoli’s Taco & Barbacoa located at 4222 Kostoryz scored a 98.
Grub Burger Bar located at 4902 Staples scored a 98.
Pretzel World located at 5858 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.
Jr’s German Sausage & BBQ located at 2330 Airline scored a 97.
Aunt Sissy’s Kitchen located at 14254 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.
La Casita Mexican Restaurant located at 9929 South Padre Island Drive scored a 96.

Dropping down to the B-list with an 88 is Coach’s Grill located at 717 Tarpon.
Violations included meat stored above bread, eggs and cheese, employees were not washing hands, bleach was stored next to the cooking oil, employees were not wearing hair or beard restraints, employees smoking in the dishwashing area, wiping towels were not stored properly and go trays were stored on the floor.
Taste of Asia Restaurant located at 2148 Waldron scored an 88.
Health inspectors found the walk in cooler kept at the wrong temperature, beef or pork stored above fish, a
dirty microwave, leftover food was not labeled and a leak inside walk in cooler needed to be repaired.
El Gallo De Jalisco located at 10329 South Padre Island Drive scored an 85.
The restaurant lost points because raw chicken was stored above beef or pork, chip baskets were not stored properly, employees needed to wash their hands, chemicals were stored next to a syrup bottle and no hot water at back hand washing sink.
Other violations included employee cups needing lids, employees wearing jewelry, employees not wearing beard guards, wiping towels were not stored properly, scoops were not stored properly and the ice machine lid needed to be repaired.
