Granny’s Hot Tamales located at 3131 Mcardle scored a 100.
Morgan St. Seafood located at 1602 Morgan scored a 100.
Ricas Raspas & More a food truck scored a 100.
Sandi’s Diner located at 704 Ayers scored a 100.
Earning a spot on the A-list with a 99 is Chick-Fil-A located at 5488 South Padre Island Drive.
Tacos “El Nene” a food truck scored a 98.
Popeye’s located at 5701 Everhart scored a 96.
La Ribera Restarante #2 located at 1602 Morgan scored a 94.
Wallbangers Restaurant located at 4102 Staples scored a 93.
Dropping down to the B-list with an 88 is Feliz Amanecer #2 located at 4551 Violet.
The restaurant lost points because eggs were not stored properly, food was stored on the floor, bowls were inside prepped potatoes, and the hand washing sink used for other tasks.
Other violations included a hand washing sink not properly stocked, trays stored on top of cups of water or ice tea, wet towels were not stored properly and food was not thawed properly.
Fajitaville located at 221 Hotel Place scored an 86.
Violations included spray bottles not labeled, food not labeled properly, no thermometer, no towels at the hand washing station at the bar, gnats, employees not wearing hair nets or beard guards, an open drink at the prep table, towels were not stored properly, a knife was stored between prep tables and bulk containers were not labeled.
