Suspect sought on Walmart purse theft

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspected purse thief.

According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, a 78-year-old woman shopping  for vitamins in the pharmacy department of the Walmart at 6100 Saratoga Boulevard on Tuesday, when she noticed her purse was missing.

 

The woman contacted the store’s loss prevention office, who reviewed security camera footage and found the incident on video.

Footage shows a woman, wearing white or khaki pants and a black shirt, taking the purse from the victim’s cart and then walking away.

CCPD says information provided to Crime Stoppers is anonymous and could earn a cash reward.
