Robstown police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspected armed robber.

Officers from the Robstown Police Department were called out to La Tiendita at 445 West Avenue C, at about 10:53 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say the store clerk told them he had been robbed at gunpoint. Surveillance video from the store shows a man wearing a burnt orange Texas Longhorns hooded sweatshirt walk into the store pointing an object covered with a sock at the store clerk, and demanding money.

According to police, the store clerk said the covered object looked like a gun, and complied with the man’s demands. The suspect then leaved the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Management at La Tiendita is offering a cash reward for any information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.

Anyone with information on this alleged robbery is encouraged to call the Robstown Police Department at 361-387-3531 or 361-387-TIPS (8477).
