It’s been three years since two men robbed a bank.
The Corpus Christi Police Department is working with the FBI to catch the two crooks.
It’s the Crime of the week.
Connor Hagan the Public Affairs Officer with the Houston FBI told Action 10 News, “These guys went in on an average day at the bank. They terrorized several of the tellers. We are not going to stand for that in our community.”
Detectives have released new surveillance video showing the two men rob the Value Bank located on the 3700 Block of Staples Street back on December 19, 2016.
The men demanded cash from the tellers but never showed a weapon.
Action 10 News was told the bank robbers got away with an unknown amount of cash.
No one was hurt.
According to Hagan, “We understand it has been 3 years since this robbery occurred. But we are not giving up and Corpus Christi PD is not giving up on finding these guys and bringing them to justice.”
The bank employees described the suspects as two men about 20 years of age, both wearing black hoodies, gloves, sweatpants and sandals.
One of the suspects had a design on the sweatpants and one of the suspects wore a mask and had a purple “Metro PCS” bag at the time of the robbery.
