7/1 updates:
5:12 p.m.- Nueces County is reporting 17 new COVID-19 cases, and no deaths. The total case count in the county is now at 44,156, with 841 deaths. Of those total cases, 42,881 people have recovered.
6/30 updates:
4 p.m.- Nueces County is reporting 18 new COVID-19 cases, and the first death in about a week. The death was a man in his 60's. The total case count in the county is now at 44,139, with 841 deaths and 42,864 recovered.
6/29 updates:
4:45 p.m. - The local health district announced no new COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday. The COVID-19 death count remains at 840.
It marked the seventh consecutive day where there have been no local COVID-19 related fatalities announced. That streak is believed to be the longest during the pandemic.
The health district also reported that there were 17 new cases, which brings the case count to 44,121. Of that total, 42,838 - or 97. 1 percent - have recovered.
4:30 p.m. - COVID-19 vaccination rates in Nueces County continue growing.
As of last week, the Public Health District has administered nearly 289,000 vaccines in the county.
Roughly 181,000 Nueces County residents have received at least one does of the vaccine.
And more than 137,000 residents are fully vaccinated.
6/28 updates:
4:44 p.m. - The local health district announced no new COVID-19 deaths on Monday. The COVID-19 death count remains at 840.
The health district also reported that there were 40 new cases, which brings the case count to 44,104. Of that total, 42,802 have recovered.

4:43 p.m. - The local health district announced no new COVID-19 deaths Friday. The COVID-19 death count remains at 840.
The health district also reported that there were 37 new cases, which brings the case count to 44,032. So far, 42,697 have recovered.

4:45 p.m. - The local health district announced no new COVID-19 deaths Thursday. The COVID-19 count remains at 840. The health district also reported that there were 41 new cases, which brings the case count to 43,995. So far, 42,663 have recovered.
6/22 updates:
4:19 p.m. - The local health district announced two new COVID-19 fatalities on Tuesday, boosting the pandemic wide total for Nueces County to 840.
The patients were two males in their 60’s and 80’s. The comorbidities of the patients included diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
County officials also reported 55 new cases on Tuesday, pushing the pandemic-wide case count for Nueces County to 43,942. Of that total, 42,581 -- 96.90 percent -- have recovered.
6/21 updates:
4:52 p.m. - The local health district announced no new COVID-19 fatalities on Monday, keeping the pandemic-wide total at 838.
There were 24 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the pandemic-wide case count to 43,887. Of that total, 42,538 have recovered.

4:08 p.m. - The local health district announced one new COVID-19 related fatality on Friday, pushing the pandemic-wide death total to 838.
Officials say the patient was a female in her 50’s. No comorbidities were reported.
The district also announced 51 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Nueces County on Friday, pushing the pandemic-wide case count to 43,805. Of that total, 42,451 - or 96.9 percent - have recovered.

4:43 p.m. - The health district announced 17 new cases were reported Thursday, pushing the pandemic-wide case count for the county to 43,754. Of that total, 42,406 have recovered.
The Nueces County Health District also reported no new deaths on Thursday, keeping the local fatality total during the pandemic at 837.

4:57 p.m. - The health district announced 19 new cases were reported Wednesday, pushing the pandemic-wide case count for the county to 43,737. Of that total, 42,373 have recovered.

The patients were a male and two females with ages ranging in the 70’s and 80’s.
The comorbidities of these patients include hypertension, diabetes and obesity.
The fatalities push the county's COVID-19 death toll during the pandemic to 837.
The county also reports 43 new COVID-19 cases today, pushing the pandemic-wide total to 43,672. Of that total, 42,284 have recovered.

3:45 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District received notification of two COVID-19 related deaths on Friday.
The patients include a male in his 60’s and a female in her 80’s. The comorbidities of the patients included chronic kidney disease.
The deaths push the county-wide fatality total to 834 during the pandemic.
The health district announced 24 new cases were reported today, pushing the pandemic-wide case count for the county to 43,566. Of that total, 42,148 - or 96.74 percent - have recovered.
6/10 updates:
5:45 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District received notification of nine new COVID-19 cases and one new death on Thursday.
The new cases push the city's pandemic-wide case count to 43,542. Of the total, 42,111 have recovered.
The COVID-19 death extends the fatality total for the county during the pandemic to 832.
9 a.m. - Nueces County Public Health District is hosting a walk-up vaccination clinic.

4:48 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District received notification of 60 new local COVID-19 cases and no COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday.
It pushes the case count in Nueces County during the pandemic to 43,533, of which 42,089 have recovered. The county pandemic-wide death total remains at 831.

4:42 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District received notification of 30 new local COVID-19 cases and no COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday.
It pushes the Nueces County case total during the pandemic to 43,473, of which 42,032 have recovered. The county pandemic-wide death total remains at 831.

4:15 p.m. - The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District received notification of three new COVID-19 cases on Monday. These deaths push the county's pandemic-wide fatality total to 832.

4:42 p.m. - The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District received notification of 51 new COVID-19 cases on Friday. It pushes the county's case count during the pandemic to 43,299, with 41,819 of those recovering.
There were no new deaths released on Friday, keeping the fatality total in the county to 829.
6/3 updates:
4:45 p.m.- The health district is reporting two deaths and 24 new COVID-19 casesin Nueces County on Thursday. The deaths were two men in their 50's and 60's. This brings the deaths in the county to 829, and the total cases in the county to 43,248, with 41,789 recovered.

4:00 p.m.- Nueces county is reporting one death and 48 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the county's death count to 827 and the case count to 43,224.
The patient who died was a female in her 70’s. Her comorbidities include diabetes and anemia.
From the total cases in the county, 41,748 have recovered.
6/1 updates:
4:49 p.m. - The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District received notification of one COVID-19 related death. The patient was a female in her 70’s. The comorbidities of the patient included hypertension, hypothyroidism, and hyperlipidemia.
Her death pushes the Nueces County fatality number during the pandemic to 826.
The county reported 43 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, pushing the pandemic-wide case total to 43,176. Of that total, 41,717 have recovered.
11:00 a.m - The Texas Department of State Health Services is offering a free vaccination clinic every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Rockport.
