One local automotive repair shop wants to show its appreciation to all healthcare professional sworking on the front lines, battling COVID-19.

Dub's Garage is offering them a complimentary oil change.

“In the month of April, we are going to give away 100 free oil changes, five a day through the month of April,” said Dub’s Garage owner Bill Hardcastle.

Healthcare workers are on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19, and Dub’s Garage, that has been around for 60 years, says it is trying to give back.

“Mainly we just want to do something to help the people that are really on the frontline. Usually it is the first responders, but this time, I really think it is the doctors and nurses and all of the healthcare workers,” said Dub’s Garage owner Bernadette Hardcastle.

Registered Nurse Angelica Garcia is one of a handful of customers that has taken advantage of this free offer during such a stressful time.

“It is really nice. I think, as healthcare workers, we don’t go into it as far as expecting things, but it does feel nice,” Garcia said.

Hardcastle has two daughters in the medical field, which is part of why the company was inspired to make this offer.

“We know different things affect different people in different ways, and we have first-hand knowledge of what they are going through. So, it is pretty bad, and we want to help any way we can,” said Hardcastle.

Dub’s Garage says 100 is a number they picked, but if more healthcare workers in the community need its services, it will be more than glad to help.

Hardcastle says during this trying time, it’s more critical than ever that we are supporting our community and providing safe and reliable transportation so people can make it to the store, doctor’s office, and any other essential location.
