If you plan on riding the bus, you're going to have to wear a mask or a face covering.

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority announced riders will need to use facial coverings to get on a bus.

You will also need to wear a mask at CCRTA transfer stations, bus stops or any of their facilities.

The order to wear a mask goes into effect at 11:59 p.m. Friday.

Facial coverings are not required for children 10 years and younger. These masks do not need to be surgical-grade, but must cover the nose and mouth.

The RTA also stated the coverings can be made from household items such as bandannas, scarves, fabric or neck gaiters.

Riders are also asked to social distance.
