A  pickup truck driver fleeing from police in Oklahoma City crashed into an S-U-V  killing two people, including a child.

Police say they chased the pickup truck for about four blocks when it ran a stop sign and hit the S-U-V hitting it so hard it knocked it off the street and into a yard.

Investigators say an adult woman and child in the S-U-V were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck and a female passenger were both taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

“It`s always unfortunate anytime someone is killed. Whether it`s in the middle of a police pursuit or just any other traffic accident. In this case it`s about 20 seconds. I think officers barely had time to get out on the radio that they were going to be in pursuit,” said Sgt. Travis Vernier/Oklahoma City Police.

Police say the pickup truck was stolen and they found drugs and guns inside.
