A wild Asian elephant separated from his group and visited Meng’a Town in southwest China’s Yunnan Province on Sunday (24 MARCH 2019), China’s state broadcaster CCTV reported.
The footage shows the massive animal looking somewhat lost as he explores the downtown streets.
CCTV said the authorities closely observed the elephant’s movements and it was finally led to safety.
The Asian elephant, a protected species in China, is the largest living land animal in Asia.
