The “King of Country” music has set a new record at NRG Stadium.
According to RODEOHOUSTON, 80,108 fans attended the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Sunday night.
In a statement posted on RODEOHOUSTON website, it states, “This concert-only performance breaks the previous record from 2013, set by George Strait with special guests Martina McBride and Randy Rogers Band with 80,020 fans.”
Sunday night’s concert-only performance also included country artists Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen.
The record-setting performance marks Strait’s 30th performance at the Rodeo, since 1984.
To date, Strait has entertained more than 1.7 million RODEOHOUSTON fans.
