A business that’s been open for more than 18 years in Corpus Christi has suddenly closed, leaving many customers angry.

The longstanding Quantum Kopies printing shop located at 1702 Ayers street has closed down.

“Just driving down the street and saw all the chaos and madness,” said Erica Atherton.

The previous owner only left behind a dumpster full of trash and an empty lot.

Mildred Trujillo says she’s been a customer of Quantum Kopies for four years and ordered invoice booklets from them.

However, when Trujillo went to pick them up, Quantum Kopies was closed.

“I was greeted by the shop being closed and being remodeled all the printers outside ready for the dumpster,” said Trujillo.

We’ve tried reaching out to the owner, to no avail.

But there’s a silver lining for some, as a new printing business is moving in.

“We are called Koastal Kopies,” said Atherton. “We’re just doing a lot of things differently and a lot cleaner than what has happened in the past.”

Erica Atherton says they’re not affiliated at all with the previous owner but say they want to make things right.

“I just really want them to know that the doors are still open and that people are here to help them out,” said Atherton.

The new shop plans to open their doors this coming Monday.
