The southbound Interstate 37 exit to Port Avenue will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. beginning on Tuesday.
The work, part of the Harbor Bridge Project, is expected to continue through Thursday. The closure is necessary to complete drainage work on the highway.
Motorists heading southbound on IH 37 and needing to exit in this area will need to utilize the Buddy Lawrence exit ramp.
All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the lane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and slow down in the work zones.
